Keyrings and Bag Charms

Keyrings and Bag Charms

I have added a new range of keyrings and bag charms to my online shop and at my display shelf at Art in the Heart in Peterborough. The price range is from £7.50 – £12.00 depending on the size.

These have all been created using my new Rolling Mill and I have used a variety of card making patterns and printed them on copper tags. I think they are fun and great gifts. As these keyrings and bag charms are small and lightweight they would be great for posting out to friends and families who live far away.

I am working on more of these keyrings and charms for the upcoming shows and events leading up to Christmas.

Yes… it is September and I mentioned the C word! Sorry! But Christmas is important for small businesses like mine. We all like receiving and giving gifts and this is that time of the year when there is a lot more gift buying happening.

YAY! I Bought a Rolling Mill!

Rolling Mill installed on my workbench New Toy! I bought a Rolling Mill and I am so excited! 😀

Another view of Rolling Mill installed on my workbenchThanks to the wonderful customers who shopped in my online shop and at the ESC Artists Market in June I was finally able to buy a small Rolling Mill. It will help me create new textures and patterns on my jewellery and sculptures.

I will post more about it as I get to know it better.

First two pieces made with my new toy:

There are lots of different Rolling Mills available to buy online. Have a Look!

Copper Cuffs – Air-Chased & Fold-Formed

Last week-end I spent some time making more one-off copper cuffs. It was a LOT of fun 🙂 And the finished pieces have definitely put a smile on my face. I hope you like them too!

I made a series of social media posts as I crafted these pieces. This is what I plan to do with all new work I create so you might want to follow me on Instagram and Facebook to see pictures of my work as they happen. I have copied the posts I made below with the images.

All three Cuffs have now been added to my shop and can be purchased on-line. I accept commissions and will be happy to create a piece for you. If the size you want is not available the shop please do get in touch to have a piece made especially for you.

Fold Formed and Air-Chased cuffs are individually crafted in my studio and no two pieces are ever identical.

I will take these out in a few minutes and make it nice and shiny using a wire brush and then think about patina

Weekend work just out of liver of sulphur.

Now I will spend some time buffing and cleaning and then they will be ready

Work in Progress – More Air-chasing

I am really enjoying the craft of air-chasing copper.

Copper Leaves

Made a couple more copper leaves this afternoon. These have been really popular at Art in the Heart and at ESCArtists events. As far as I am aware there are only two of these at Art in the Heart and I have none in stock.

I will have to make a lot more than these two I am sure! At least I have made a start 🙂

Work in Progress… Copper Pipe Cuffs

After a wonderful trip to India I am back to my bench and working on several new pieces for the June Artists Market at Stamford Arts Centre and for my display cabinet at Art in the Heart and Whisby Nature Park.

What better way to get back into the swing of things than a bit of air chasing fun 🙂

I made four new copper cuffs last week. This time I have used a narrower copper tubes, 8mm.  The new cuffs are light and quite dainty compared to the “Fantasy” Copper pipe cuff I made for last year’s ESC Artists exhibition. I will make more of those but I think a variety of styles is always good.
