Antique Finish Copper Flower Trinket Tray
This Copper Flower Trinket Tray is a pretty little dish to keep your little treasures.
I used a jeweller’s saw to cut out the flower shape from copper sheet and used various texturing hammers to give it texture and form.
The tray was then glued to the wooden base to five it more dimension and to make it a stable piece easy to handle. A useful coin dish, tea-light holder or to keep little rings / earrings / cuff-links in one place on the dressing table.
Size: The wooden base is 8 cm round. The flower is 7 cm in diameter.
This Trinklet Tray has been made in collaboration with my husband Dave.
Dave upcycles palletwood to make decorative and functional stuff. He uses Shou Sugi Ban, an ancient Japanese method of preserving wood, to raise the grain of the wood using fire. (He borrows my Sievert torch for this).
I then add colour to the wood using Hampshire Sheen Intrinsic colour. They have a lovely selection of wood colours. Do have a look at some of our pallet wood creations here. This piece has been dyed “Forest Green”.
The wooden base can be dyed in other colours too, See colour chart below.
Please get in touch if you would like to order one or more of these trinket trays in forest green, another colour or a range of colours if you are buying gifts.
Lovely wedding favours. For a small extra charge the back of the wood can be personalised with a name or message.
