Rustic Wooden Earrings in Collaboration with palletwoodstuff.co.uk
Wooden Earrings made in collaboration with my husband Dave. He crafted the wooden rings and I added colour, copper components and the earwires needed to convert them into earrings.
The Pallletwood Earrings are available on backorder. This means if you order more pieces than the numbers shown “in stock” above you should allow upto 15 days for the order to be processed.
Rustic Wooden Earrings – Honey Size: Earrings are approximately 7 cm from top of the ear-wire. Outer circle is 4.5 cm in diameter. Ear-wires are Sterling Silver.
The earrings have been cut from palletwood that has been de-nailed and sanded. One the discs are cut they are flame treated. This technique is knows as Shou Sugi Ban, an ancient Japanese method of preserving wood.
Once cleaned up the discs are given a through clean, coloured using using Hampshire Sheen Intrinsic colour dye and then polished using Renaissance Wax.
