Gorgeous Persian Blue Salvaged Copper Bracelet
Upcycled enamelled Salvaged Copper Bracelet.
The copper for this bracelet was salvaged from a piece of flattened copper tube found by my neighbour Gill. If she sees any bits of copper that people don’t need she gives them to me. She is so nice! Yes she does ask permission before picking it up 🙂
The copper was thoroughly cleaned, pickled and scrubbed to get rid of all the dirt on it. It is always so exciting to see a piece of shiny copper emerge from the boring looking piece of metal.
I cut the flat pipe into rectangles and added a bit of texture. Then I enamelled it with transparent Persian blue glass enamel and that really brings out the markings on the piece beautifully!
Size: Bracelet is 9 inches (23 cm) long with a copper hook clasp made from 1.25mm pure copper wire. The width of the copper shapes is approximately 2.2 – 2,5 cm at different places.
Colour: Transparent Persian Blue
Back of the bracelet is not enamelled, it has been given an antique patina.
I am having so much fun with coloured enamel. It really is an added bonus that my customers are liking my new range of colourful copper jewellery. It really has added a new dimension to my work and there is a lot more to come!
