Impressions of the fields Somewhere near Stamford

“Somewhere near Stamford…” is my attempt to capture the fields, scenes and hedgerows we see during walks with our dogs.

Enamelled Copper Doodles inspired by walks with my dogs
Taj (back) & Manali

We walk our dogs Taj and Manali in fields near Stamford, the town where I live. The hedgerows we see in the fields are beautiful and colourful and keep changing colours throughout the year. The “Somewhere near Stamford” series captures my impressions of these colours and scenes using copper sheet, enamel powder and glass beads.

This scene on copper has been mounted on a piece of recycled pallet wood by my husband Dave who works with wood, wire and rocks. Some of his work is listed in my online shop here.

Waste Not Want Not series: Metal salvaged from an old copper tank.

Size: 14 x 14 cm square. This wall mountable picture has a string at the back. If you prefer you can display it using a small plate holder or stand. This would work well for displaying on the mantelpiece or window-sill.

I am really having a lot of fun with enamel. My new enamelling kiln has added a whole new dimension to my work.
