Enamelled Copper Doodles inspired by the countryside we see during walks with our dogs Mr Taj & Miss Manali.

“Somewhere near Stamford…” (04) is my attempt to capture the fields and scenes we come across during walks with our dogs.

Impressions of the fields somewhere near StamfordWe walk our dogs Taj and Manali in fields near Stamford, the town where I live. The fields and the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside we can see in all directions are lovely. The “Somewhere near Stamford” series captures my impressions of these colours and scenery using copper sheet and enamel powder.

This scene on copper has been mounted on a piece of recycled pallet wood by my husband Dave who works with wood, wire and rocks. Some of his work is listed in my online shop here.

Size: 14 x 18.5 cm square. This wall mountable picture has a string at the back. If you prefer you can display it using a small plate holder or stand. This would work well for displaying on the mantelpiece or window-sill.

I am really having a lot of fun with enamel. My new enamelling kiln has added a whole new dimension to my work.
