Sorry

As some of you already know, things have not been great in my world in recent months. Then I got the news about Papa on 10 August.

I have reached a point where I am struggling to make sense of things. I need to take time out to clear my head. This is my doctor’s advice too, who has actually signed me off work.

For self-employed people like me, getting signed off from work is a strange situation. I have never had to completely stop work suddenly without having alternate arrangements in place. Scary too! If I don’t work, I don’t earn.

But I do need to focus and start afresh; otherwise, there will be no me and there will be no business left to run.

Therefore
– I am closing my online shop, www.shaliniaustin.com, for a while.
– I am re-evaluating whether I can physically be present at craft events I have booked. I will update what happens when I can. I did cancel being at the Barnsdale Gardens Craft Fair today.

I am really sorry about not being at all useful for the Stamford Diversity Festival @stamford_diversity_festival, which is on Bank Holiday Monday. Please support it. My amazing friend Yvette has worked really hard this year with no input from me at all. If you can spare some time to help her, please do offer your support to her.
