Recently I have been working on Hedgehog Coasters in copper for a custom order.

Making Hedgehog Coasters

Went through various images, then customer sent a couple of images of his choice. I have used one of the images he wanted and I this design is now going to become a new product in my online shop.

The coasters have turned out better than I had hoped! And yes I did do a little happy dance!

Commission a Special Gift

Special Gift commission for Christmas

This is a bespoke pendant I made last year as special gift for Christmas. Keepsake from a special time for the couple.

This necklace is one of a selection of jewellery and sculpture made from bits they found on a beach – Stones, a bit of copper probably washed up from a wreck, driftwood. It was special to be part of their happy memories and their love of dancing.

So exciting that they have contacted me again today with more treasures they found on another beach. Hopefully I will be able to create more special pieces for their special memories ?

Please do get in touch if you would like to commission a special gift. I love making pieces that will be treasured. Not because they cost a lot but because they mean a lot.

Memories are precious and special moments are priceless. Doesn’t matter if it was a stone you picked up on holiday or grandma’s ring.

Quite a lot of hammering and annealing to do before the copper pipes in picture 1 become cuffs similar to the ones in picture 2.

Earlier this month I was contacted by a customer who had visited my stall at the Deepings Frost Fair at Mr Molecey’s Marvellous Mill last November. She bought a pair of pink pearl earrings from me. Her sister in law liked them a lot so she gave them to her. She contacted me to make her a pair. I made several in different colours to show her and the lovely lady bought them all! 😀 So exciting!

At the time of writing this post I have 3 of these in stock. This design was a very popular gift last Christmas so I made more than actually ordered by customers.

Each copper leaf individually from 0.5mm – 0.7mm copper sheet. Once formed I gave the leaves an antique patina and and polished finish.

The small Fold-Formed Copper Leaf Brooches are 4 – 5 cm long.

Following on from my previous post of 13 February I have now finished the two Fantasy Cuffs I was working on. They are on their way to the customer as I type. Eagerly looking forward to the feedback.

I do have some “off the shelf” Fantasy Cuffs in my online shop from time to time but if someone wants a certain size then it is custom made in the size requested.

A few pictures of the making process. I will write a post with more images on I make copper things soon.
