Upcycled: Waste Not Want Not

When we were little my mother always used to say to my brother and me “Waste not, want not“. This was mostly said about fussy eating, but often also about hand-me-down clothes from older cousins or the lovely dresses that she made for me from her old sarees.

Her words have always stayed with me and I often repeat them in conversation. I try my best to practice this in my work too. Where possible I try to use old copper pipes, sheets and wire. The pieces available here are made from old / salvaged copper.

The picture shows Miss Manali (aka “Quality Control Boss”) inspecting an old copper tank I got from a plumber.

Waste not want not: I use salvaged copper in my copper work. Picture of my dog Manali inspecting an old copper tank as it was being cut down to a workable size
